We are grateful that FamilyAlbum has become a part of the lives of so many families since its launch in April 2015, and couldn’t be happier to announce that we reached 30 million users¹ worldwide on May 7, 2026!
1. Total number of users registered on the iOS app, Android™ app, and browser version
In the eleven years since its release, our service has gained popularity with new parents and has continued to grow by leaps and bounds.
We offer support for 7 languages² and 175 countries/regions. The demand for FamilyAlbum is expanding in the US and other countries, with the rate of new user registrations increasing each year.
We will continue to operate FamilyAlbum as a family photo-sharing service that’s easy to use and makes raising children more enjoyable and prevents isolation parents sometimes feel.

We launched FamilyAlbum in 2015 and celebrated its 10th anniversary last year with our first large-scale in-person event in Japan. This event gave our entire team the chance to meet families and see their smiles firsthand, reminding us that what we create is truly about strengthening family bonds.
FamilyAlbum has grown to reach families in 175 countries and regions in 7 languages. Over 40% of our users are outside Japan, with North America alone making up 20%, showing how quickly our global community continues to grow. I’m reminded that no matter the differences in language, culture, or lifestyle, the joy of watching a child grow up and the desire to share those moments with loved ones is universal.
Even as we expand our services, our core belief remains unchanged: to be a place where children and their families can look back on memories and feel close to one another. In the future, we will continue to take on new challenges that go beyond expectations and connect the hearts of families around the world.
